Senior Accountant
position with a Texas-based company. You will support the Controller in managing core accounting operations, including monthly close, account reconciliations, audit and tax preparation, and financial reporting support. Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., accruals, reclasses, adjustments) Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank, prepaid, and accruals Support monthly close process and resolve account variances Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Assist with documenting and enhancing internal controls and accounting procedures Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and addressing follow-up requests Maintain PBC lists and provide trial balances, GL details, and supporting reports to auditors and tax preparers Help prepare internal financial reports and support ad hoc accounting projects Maintain financial close files and assist in resolving GAAP compliance or accounting treatment issues Assist with department/project expense tracking and variance analysis Update budgeting and forecasting templates with monthly data Provide GL coding support to AP, AR, and Inventory teams Identify training/documentation needs related to GL and month-end close Serve as backup for other accounting team functions as needed Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or related fields 3-7 years of relevant accounting experience Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries Seniority level
