Essential Functions and Primary Duties Accurate and timely payroll processing, which will include calculating wages, federal, state and local taxes as well as benefits Comfortable processing payroll through a third party service provider Ability to prepare both federal and state payroll tax returns Resolve payroll discrepancies and generating payroll reports for clients and accounting purposes Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with various states Various administrative and bookkeeping duties for clients and associates such as bill paying; accounts payable processing; cash flow reporting and budgeting Additional responsibilities as assigned Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting Five years of direct experience working in accounting/finance employment; deep understanding of accounting and payroll practices and principles. Proficiency using QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Bill.com, Hubdoc, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently Strong communication skills, clear and concise verbal and written communication to interact with various individuals Attention to detail, ability to accurately manage information and complete tasks with precision Discretion and confidentiality, maintaining privacy regarding sensitive information Adaptability and flexibility, ability to adjust to changing priorities and demands Minimum QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED required At least 2 years of accounting work experience Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise Proficient use of applicable technology Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally The hourly rate for this job in this market is $36.06 - $45.67. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
