Duluth, MN | $90,000–$100,000 base salary | Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-time | Onsite Tax Accountant (CPA/EA) – Duluth, MN | $90,000–$100,000 base salary | Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-time | Onsite About the Opportunity: We’re partnering with a small but growing accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to become a key member of their team. With over 500 individual clients and more than 100 corporate clients, this hire will be the second person handling tax returns, working directly alongside the owner. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA or EA who wants to manage full tax return preparation, build strong client relationships, and join a collaborative, close-knit office environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare a full range of tax returns including 1040s, 1120-S, and 1065s from start to finish.
Manage individual and corporate tax filings independently.
Collaborate with the owner and team members supporting bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation.
Build strong, ongoing client relationships through clear communication and reliable service.
Contribute to process improvements and firm growth initiatives.
Qualifications
CPA or EA designation required.
3+ years of tax return experience (individual and corporate).
Ability to prepare complete tax returns independently.
Proficiency with 1040, 1120-S, and 1065 filings.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
