3-Month Contract | $55/hour+ Depending on Experience | Hybrid Flexibility
A well-established organization in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a seasoned
Interim Controller
with
extensive NetSuite experience
to lead financial operations during a pivotal transition period. This is a high-impact, short-term opportunity for a hands-on financial leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can drive stability and strategic insight from day one.
Key Responsibilities For The Interim Controller
Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes in alignment with GAAP Manage all NetSuite financial modules including GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Recognition Refine chart of accounts, reporting structures, and system workflows Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs within NetSuite Implement internal controls and ensure audit readiness Reconcile accounts and legacy financial data, resolving inconsistencies Collaborate with department heads to align financials with operational goals Train and support internal accounting staff on NetSuite best practices
Ideal Candidate Profile For The Interim Controller
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years in senior finance roles Deep, hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP Strong command of GAAP and internal control frameworks Proven success in transitional or high-growth environments
