Overview
Senior Network Systems Administrator – PDA. GDIT is seeking a Senior Network Systems Administrator – Primary Domain Administrator (PDA) to support Mission Command training teams at the Fort Bliss, TX Mission Training Complex (MTC). The ideal candidate acts as a recognized technical expert in base labor category description.
Responsibilities
Interact with the ISSO to ensure synchronization.
Build, maintain, configure, and update server operating systems and applications; apply Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs); run SCAP tools and vulnerability scans on Domain Controllers, Hypervisors, Endpoint Security Solution servers, Network Management System servers, ACAS Security Centers, NESSUS systems, and standalone devices.
Configure and maintain the NMS (Radius), Cisco Call Manager, and Cisco IP phone network.
Provide cross training for other technicians; perform network administration duties and offer technical support to users.
Configure communication media with concentrators, bridges, TACLANES, and other devices.
Plan network layouts and configure systems to user environments; analyze network topologies, traffic, and capacity requirements.
Evaluate current network infrastructure, procedures, processes, and traffic; recommend improvements.
Monitor applicable network resources for updated requirements and compliance directions.
Download and apply DISA updates and plug-ins manually on ESS, ACAS SC, NESSUS, NMS, NTP, and other required servers.
Update and maintain documentation for servers and systems; maintain STIG checklists for applicable systems and future updates.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks on ESS, HVs, DCs, ACAS Security Centers, NMS, and other items; perform regular backups.
Coordinate with Security Manager and Operations Specialist to ensure physical security measures are met.
Collaborate with ISSM and ISSO on AMC, IMCOM, and DPTMS projects; perform IAT II duties for RMF ATO and network operations in MTC buildings.
Assist and perform duties as NIPR/SIPR Information Management Officer on Fort Bliss NEC devices, including workstations, notebooks, printers, and VTC components.
Assist with duties as required, scan peripherals for viruses, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
Create and update POAM, SSP, and other reports as needed in EMASS.
Support the MTC, units, and other organizations during exercises; assist Hub & Spoke sites as needed, which may require travel.
Work with the Security Manager, ISSM, and ISSO to ensure DoD CORA standards, DODI 8510.01, AR 25-2, and DA PAM 25-2-14 are followed.
Qualifications
Education:
BA/BS in a related field or equivalent years of relevant experience
Experience:
Minimum eight years of related experience with two years in cybersecurity.
Five years of computer experience in information systems design and management.
At least three years of experience in analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or LAN-based systems on US military staff.
Three years of experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
Certifications:
IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01, and one of CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP
Required Skills and Abilities:
Administrative knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019, Red Hat Linux, Windows 11, SQL Express, ESS, ACAS, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Must hold or obtain Computer Environment (CE) certification for all assigned operating systems support.
Knowledge of EMASS, Tenable, Active Directory, GPO Management, and Domain Controllers.
Understanding of RMF 2.0, DODI 8510.01, AR 25-2, DA PAM 25-2-14.
Ability to configure Ethernet/Fiber, Firewalls, TACLANES, switches and routers.
Administrative knowledge of Call Manager, ESXi VMware, NMS Radius, and SolarWinds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications: Security X (CASP+), CEH, CFR, CySA+, Pentest+, CCNP Security, or GCIA.
Administrative knowledge of Microsoft Server 2022.
Security Clearance:
Secret required to start
Location, Travel and Work Details
Location:
Onsite; Normal schedule 07:30–16:30, night or weekend shifts may be required depending on training events
Travel:
10%
Additional Details:
Work is primarily in an office environment at the MTC, Fort Bliss, TX. Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs may be required for exercises.
Ability to work with little supervision; support shifts outside normal hours for 24/7 operations during exercises.

The likely salary range for this position is $69,700 - $94,300. Salary will be set based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
