Position Summary The Cost Control Analyst is responsible for monitoring project budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing cost reports to ensure financial efficiency. Locations This position is located in Birmingham, AL or Chester, VA.

Responsibilities
Develop, track, and analyze project budgets, costs, and expenditures.
Prepare cost estimates and forecasts to support project planning and financial decision-making.
Monitor project expenses for budget alignment and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking.
Review invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct variance analysis and report discrepancies.
Assist in developing cost control policies and procedures.
Provide financial reports and dashboards to management.
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies.
Use cost management software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management software (e.g., Procore, SAP).
Knowledge of construction project accounting and financial principles.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field.
3+ years of cost analysis or financial planning experience in construction.
Work Environment & Certifications
Office environment with standard equipment.
Valid Driver’s License; certification like CCP is a plus.
Experience with large-scale construction projects and contract administration.
Travel This role is primarily office-based with minimal travel requirements.
