The Role We are seeking a Senior Accountant & Financial Analyst who thrives in both the details of accounting and the insights of financial analysis. This hybrid role is perfect for someone with 2–4 years of progressive experience who wants exposure across accounting, retail finance, and FP&A. You’ll play a key role in managing day‑to‑day accounting, supporting month‑end close, and driving analysis that informs strategic decisions in a high‑growth CPG business. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the CFO, sales, and supply chain teams—giving you visibility and impact that’s hard to find in larger organizations.
What You’ll Do Accounting & Reporting
Own core accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Support month‑end close and preparation of internal financial reporting
Reconcile inventory transactions and analyze variances (shrink, cost, movement)
Ensure accuracy of retail purchase orders, invoices, and payment applications
Finance & Analysis
Analyze retail sales and inventory data across multiple channels (Amazon, wholesale, DTC)
Support FP&A initiatives including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Investigate and resolve deductions, chargebacks, and payment disputes with retail partners
Develop and maintain Excel‑based models and dashboards for business insights
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with sales, operations, and third‑party brokers to resolve retail issues quickly
Serve as a finance point of contact for retail customers and internal teams
Provide ad‑hoc analysis to support business growth initiatives
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a hybrid role (CPG or retail industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar)
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities—comfortable working across teams
Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment where you can wear many hats
Bonus If You Have
Experience with trade promotion management or deduction handling
Exposure to supply chain finance or demand planning analytics
