Job Title: Coordinator, Accounting
Location: Performance Tampa (0660) | Tampa, Florida | 1st Shift | Full Time
Job Description
Under direct supervision, applies accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of financial and business transaction data, and prepares reports to ensure accurate accounting records.
Performs complex clerical and entry‑level accounting activities, including posting journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy.
Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Compile financial information to prepare entries to accounts; prepare and record journal entries; prepare and record month‑end accruals; assist with general ledger account analysis and reconciliations; assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end reporting; responsible for record retention of accounting records; maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable; perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
6-12 months in accounting, accounting admin support or related area
Preferred Qualifications
Accounting related courses
1-2 years in accounting, accounting admin support or related area
