Finance Manager, Global Oncology R&D‑Solid Tumor The role provides financial leadership, support, and analysis for early and late‑stage development compounds within the Oncology Therapeutic Area Solid Tumor Disease Area Stronghold (DAS). The Finance Manager collaborates with Oncology Leaders and other Business Partners to align financial targets, address business issues, and analyze the value creation of investment decisions. The role may require up to 10% domestic travel and can be based in New Jersey (Raritan, Titusville) or Pennsylvania (Spring House).

Responsibilities

Deliver all aspects of financial forecasts and updates including Business Plan and Long‑Range Financial Plan, while ensuring all quarterly close and compliance requirements are met.

Provide recommendations for improving the value of financial information supplied to senior management and manage the forecast process for the Oncology TA.

Lead the Senior Financial Analysts responsible for the pipeline valuations for their compounds, partnering with Compound Development Teams (CDT), Project Management Teams (PMT), Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations, and Tax.

Partner with Business Development and the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centers in support of External Innovation and L&A/M&A projects.

Challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios, and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline (minimum) is required.

An MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other advanced financial certification is preferred.

Five years of progressive finance business experience, including prior finance manager experience, is required.

Proven experience in partnering with leaders on developing business strategies and influencing at all levels of the organization is required.

Ability to lead teams in a complex environment and develop individuals to meet future business needs is required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel) is required.

Experience with advanced data analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) is preferred.

Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or consumer products industries or public accounting is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in a global team environment are required.

The role can be based in Spring House, PA, Titusville, NJ, or Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $100,000 – $173,500

Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
