Develops and manages relationships with closely held businesses (e.g., founder-owned, family businesses, private companies) with annual sales revenue typically ranging from $2.5MM to $75MM. Provides access to a full range of commercial deposit, cash management services, treasury management products, and lending services tailored to clients' specific needs. Contributes to bank growth and profitability by expanding client relationships through advice-driven cross-selling to other bank segments, including consumer and wealth management. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage assigned client portfolios to retain and grow relationships by assessing financial needs and offering appropriate banking products, while introducing clients to related services (wholesale, treasury, wealth, trust, etc.). Meet and exceed sales goals while delivering outstanding client service. Develop new and existing client relationships through networking, cross-selling, and referrals within the bank's various business lines. Establish and maintain a referral network to generate new, especially complex, business clients. Collaborate with key business partners and subject matter experts to strategize and develop comprehensive client solutions. Partner with branch managers and serve as the primary contact for business clients, acting as the commercial banking expert for branches or groups of branches. Proactively generate SBA loans by developing and maintaining internal and external relationships. Manage customer relationships proactively by identifying financial needs, delivering suitable solutions, and providing high-quality service. Review financial data to evaluate creditworthiness and manage difficult credit situations. Negotiate loan terms and make decisions within limits or recommend actions; monitor outstanding loans for ongoing credit quality. Represent Synovus in the community through involvement in local organizations and chambers of commerce. Adhere to loan policies and procedures, working with the credit approval process to ensure standards are met. Use professional judgment and analytical skills to make decisions and resolve issues independently. May train, assign, and review the work of junior team members. Be aware of and report risks within their functional area, observing all policies, laws, and regulations. Perform other duties as required.
