$175,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr Join a dynamic team as a Controller, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial and operational accounting functions for multiple apartment home funds. Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for a large multifamily portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies. Prepare and review financial statements, account analyses, and manage cash flow activities to optimize fund-level cash management. Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation, partnering with internal teams and external auditors to ensure seamless compliance. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within accounting functions. Mentor and develop a team of 6–8 accounting professionals, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability. Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching to support team development and performance. Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to the overall strategic goals of the organization. Qualifications

Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification. 8+ years of progressive real estate accounting experience, including public accounting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi preferred. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing accounting teams in a fast-paced environment. Nice-to-Have: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite. Familiarity with acquisition integration and revenue recognition principles, including ASC-742. Seniority level
