Overview
Amazon's Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics (FTR) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager on the FTR Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to deliver financial forecast reporting for Finance and Business leadership. The role consolidates complex information into a concise story to support strategic decision making based on operating expenses and capital expenditures. In this centralized role, you will help tell the FTR financial story through analysis, reporting, and business writing. You will be responsible for defining and driving key financial mechanisms in coordination with our various teams across FTR. Our team owns the consolidation of financial results, managing the forecasting process, and driving process efficiency across the FTR organization. A successful candidate will be able to effectively influence business partners, provide accurate reporting under tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, as direct interaction with leadership is common. Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics' vision is to deliver a highly automated supply chain with a fulfillment management system that provides end-to-end inventory visibility to streamline processes and facilitate real-time decision making. The highly automated supply chain will be powered by a secure computing infrastructure that provides self-service analytics and support to the growing diversity of network facilities and devices. Responsibilities
Deliver consolidated reporting of financial forecasting cycles utilizing financial systems and advanced Excel functions. Enhance existing financial reporting and design new dashboards for financial insights. Mechanize and streamline financial processes to promote consistent and accurate financial reporting. Identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, or simplify finance processes. Develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions. Effectively manage time: prioritize work, meet deadlines, and handle urgent and non-urgent issues; seek feedback from your manager. Communication
Communicate data in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, both verbally and in writing. Adjust communications based on audience and articulate complex finance issues to non-Finance partners. Maintain backbone and challenge business partner plans and assumptions when needed. Navigate across organizations to identify the right teams to participate in discussions. Team Leadership
Participate in hiring and developing activities and mentor new team members. Contribute to work/life harmony on the team and help find creative solutions to gaps. Seek, value, and leverage diverse perspectives. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) 5+ years of finance experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of finance experience Preferred Qualifications
MBA or CPA 5+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root causes, and creating/escalation plans 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate financial models, analyses, and recommendations with measurable impact Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
