The individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, financial close and reinsurance accounting. The role requires a deep understanding of insurance, financial systems, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on strategic financial oversight and operational improvement.**Core Areas of Responsibility*** Primary ownership and direct review of the quarterly and annual financial statements for US GAAP reporting and US NAIC Statutory reporting* Lead all financial processes related to reinsurance and interpret financial terms within reinsurance contracts* Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders* Oversee the general ledger function and lead system enhancements or transitions, including automation of reporting processes* Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans* Identify areas of inefficiency across departments and recommend solutions* Manage a team of finance professionals providing mentorship and growth opportunities* Communicate effectively with senior leadership to align on financial goals and initiatives**Key Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.* CPA (completed or in progress)* 10+ years of experience in insurance finance* Strong knowledge of both GAAP and statutory accounting frameworks.* Strong expertise in reinsurance* Demonstrated success in leading financial systems or process improvements* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities* Solid understanding of internal controls and risk management practices.* Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
