Overview
Specializing in direct hire search recruitment and placement (accounting / finance / human resources / operations) and executive level searches… Immediate need for a senior accounting analyst in greater West Palm Beach. The senior accounting analyst will work with the CFO and senior leadership to review and analyze the financial performance and controls of multiple field locations. This includes the detailed review of subsidiary financial statements, trial balances, balance sheet schedules and sales and expense accounts. This is a newly created role that requires top notch analytical and communications skills. 100% in office What you will be doing
Monthly review of trial balances, financial statements, intercompany schedules and consolidated financial statements and propose adjustments when needed. Analyze and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and balance sheet accruals Review balance sheet roll-forward schedules for reasonableness and significant material fluctuations. Recalculate and test non-standard journal entries made to the general ledger by field locations. Assist with the review and analysis of accounting internal controls for consistency with accounting policies and procedures. Prepare financial and analytical schedules and review monthly metrics to measure performance of field locations Assist with the preparation of financial and statistical reports for corporate management this includes monthly expense fluctuation, analysis and review of prepaids and accrual accounts Perform monthly review of financial statements prepared by field locations and assist with the investigation of significant changes in monthly/quarterly/annual fluctuations and budget to actuals Assist with the preparation of audit documents for internal/external audit process. Provide analytical tools and reports to support decision making Perform ad-hoc projects What is required
BBA in Accounting or Finance 5 or more years accounting experience in a fast-paced retail distribution environment Solid analytical and organizational skills Must be able to handle multiple projects, changing priorities and a demanding, time-sensitive workload Must be able to work in a collaboratively with team members Ability to work with a sense of urgency, able to prioritize Seniority level
