We have partnered with a fast-growing merchant cash advance firm to hire a Collections Manager with hands-on experience in loan recovery, UCC filings, and high-stakes negotiation. What You'll Be Doing:
Own day-to-day recovery efforts for delinquent merchant accounts ($25K–$200K advances) Contact merchants, negotiate payment plans, and escalate strategically File and track UCC-1 and UCC-3 statements; collaborate with legal as needed Use skip tracing tools (LexisNexis, TRW, TransUnion, Equifax) to locate merchants and evaluate collectability Maintain compliance with FDCPA, NY contract law, and all relevant debt collection rules Track key metrics and report collection effectiveness to leadership Build and eventually lead a collections team as volume increases What You Bring: 2+ years in commercial collections or high-velocity loan collections Hands-on UCC experience and strong understanding of secured transactions Familiarity with skip tracing tools and NY contract law as it relates to collections Able to work files quickly, think on your feet, and drive action Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-through What's In It For You?
Base salary: $70,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus opportunities allowing total earnings to exceed $150,000 Path to leadership as team expands Entrepreneurial, respectful, and fast-paced work environment
