Position Title: Risk Management Specialist
Location: Hanover, MD
Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
Position Overview:
Join a collaborative and mission-driven team where your contributions directly support the Army’s readiness and modernization goals.
The Risk Management Specialist is responsible for implementing and overseeing the Risk, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) program in accordance with DoD and Army acquisition guidance. This role identifies risks, develops mitigation strategies, and advises leadership on program risk posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and manage the program’s RIO process using DoD and Army guidance Track and update risks, issues, and opportunities in the RIO management system Coordinate risk mitigation strategies and monitor execution of mitigation actions Lead risk review boards and facilitate stakeholder input Provide risk-related briefings and reports to support leadership decisions Integrate risk assessments into planning and milestone reviews
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Engineering, or related discipline 8+ years of experience supporting DoD programs with risk management duties Strong analytical and facilitation skills Familiarity with RIO tools and enterprise risk tracking systems Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required
