Interim Fund Controller
We are currently seeking candidates for an
Interim Fund Controller
at a private equity firm located in New York, NY, 10105. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in venture capital/private equity and complex financial reporting. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth administration of our venture capital funds. This is a
3+ month temporary role
paying up to
$90.00 (1099) per hour
based on relevant work experience, within a 40-hour work week. On-site requirement:
1 day per week. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee fund administration activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Assist in preparing and managing fundraising reports, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders. Conduct quality assurance checks on data within the Limited Partner (LP) Portal, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Perform thorough data checks and manage document postings within internal and external systems. Review and interpret terms in Simple Agreements for Future Equity (SAFE), focusing on post-money valuation caps and ensuring accurate conversion of SAFEs into equity. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field. Preferred: Advanced degree (MBA, MSF, MST) or certifications such as CPA or CFA. Minimum of 7+ years experience in venture capital/private equity and complex financial reporting. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Team-oriented with a focus on meeting strict deadlines.
