Senior Accountant – Global Technology Startup
A global technology company with a platform designed to protect the integrity and accuracy of digital media is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in New York. The company has partnered with both large Fortune 500 and small/medium sized businesses to improve the effectiveness of their online advertising and has grown exponentially over the past few years since going public with exciting expansion both domestically and internationally.
This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will have extensive involvement in a combination of accounting, financial operations, system integration, and new process improvements.
Responsibilities
Assist in the month-end close process (including accruals, amortization schedules & consolidation/elimination entries)
Explain unusual variances and prepare draft financials
Prepare & review financial statements, and collaborate with local entities to reconcile statutory financials and tax records with U.S. GAAP
Compliance with local income tax and regulatory requirements
Process and reconcile inter-company transactions
Maintain sub-ledgers and/or supporting detailed spreadsheets
Support quarterly and year-end audit and tax filings
Special projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting or relevant discipline, CPA preferred
3-7 years of accounting experience
Exposure to media, technology or related industry highly preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements
Experience utilizing an ERP system, preferably Netsuite
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLookup and Pivot Tables)
Salary $115,000 - $130,000 + bonus + equity. The above salary range represents Advice's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non-cash incentives.
