Corporate Tax Manager
to join our Manhattan office (approved locations also include Melville, NY and Iselin, NJ). You will work within our corporate tax practice focusing on
business income tax planning ,
corporate compliance , and
ASC 740 income tax accounting
(provision preparation or audit support). You'll be a key team member leading engagements and helping clients solve complex tax issues, backed by a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
Core Responsibilities
Manage and lead corporate tax engagements end-to-end including tax compliance and ASC 740 provisions.
Review and oversee preparation of tax returns and tax provision calculations.
Act as the in-charge manager on client engagements—managing budgets, staff, timelines, and client expectations.
Supervise and mentor tax associates and senior associates, contributing to their development.
Collaborate across tax service lines and offices for well-rounded client solutions.
Support IRS/state tax inquiries and audits.
Identify and propose additional service opportunities to existing clients.
Maintain updated knowledge of federal, state, and international tax law changes.
Attend and participate in regular professional development sessions.
Required Qualifications
Active CPA (NY or NJ) OR JD required
4‑7 years of progressive experience in corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provisions
Recent experience in a Top 15 public accounting firm
Strong exposure to large, multi‑state, national or global companies
Experience preparing/reviewing ASC 740 income tax provisions and quarterly projections
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate tax law
Tax software experience, preferably ONESOURCE
Must be onsite in the office at least 2 days/week
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Professional services or public accounting experience
Experience with international taxation or transfer pricing
Long‑term employment history (limited job‑hopping)
Leadership experience with direct reports
Strong collaboration and mentoring capabilities
