The Department of Finance, Financial Planning, and Insurance offers a B.S. with specializations in Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, and Risk Management and Insurance, and an MBA. The department houses approximately 1,000 students and supports student engagement through initiatives and student organizations. Faculty have access to research databases and teaching resources and opportunities. Position: The Department seeks two tenure-track faculty members in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach Finance courses, conduct research in Finance, and maintain an ongoing program of scholarship suitable for AACSB accreditation standards. Responsibilities also include weekly office hours, service to the department/college/university, and engagement in assessment of student learning. Responsibilities

Teach Finance courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Develop and maintain an active program of scholarly research in Finance for tenure and promotion. Engage in departmental service, including committee work and student mentoring. Participate in assessment of student learning and contribute to program improvement. Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Economics, or related fields from an accredited institution Evidence of, or potential for, conducting and publishing original research in finance Evidence of, or potential for excellence in university-level teaching (in-person and online) in areas such as investment, corporate finance, and finance electives Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of impactful research in Finance Evidence of effective engagement with a diverse student body Experience or potential for culturally responsive pedagogy that leads to equitable outcomes Experience or potential for creating a student-centered learning environment Application Deadline

Department representatives will conduct initial on-site interviews at the FMA Annual Meeting in October 2025 in Vancouver, BC. A Zoom option is available for those not attending the meeting.
