Kforce is working with a growing manufacturer in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI) area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting accounting and costing functions across manufacturing and R&D operations. The client offers salary and benefits, 401(k), PTO and great company culture. This position is scheduled as 100 on-site. Duties: Lead month-end close activities: journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analysis Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, reports, and dashboards to inform operational decisions Manage R&D project cost tracking and reporting Maintain general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP Support budgeting and forecasting processes Monitor KPIs to drive financial efficiency Assist with quarterly and annual financial forecasts Oversee inventory management and cost accounting Provide ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives Participate in special projects and process improvements Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Experience with a larger ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience strongly preferred Benefits
3 weeks paid vacation Plant shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day 12 paid holidays Benefits start on Day 1 100% match on the first 4% for 401(k) The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
