Introduction
Arup is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to support our growing industry-leading team in Dublin and Cork. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a related field. This role involves leading complex projects, providing expert advice, and contributing to the growth and development of our geo-environmental services. Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant at Arup, you will: Lead and manage geo-environmental projects from inception to completion. Conduct site assessments and risk assessments. Design and procure geo-environmental site investigations. Manage and supervise ground investigations. Prepare risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA). Advise on soil reuse, and prepare Regulation 27 and Regulation 28 applications. Develop and implement remediation strategies. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff. Liaise with clients (internal and external), stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Prepare detailed reports e.g. PSA, DQRA and EIAR. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Have experience of successful managing the financial delivery of projects (or geo-environmental elements of projects). Have a commercial awareness and have contributed to the business development and client relationship management. Membership and active participation in relevant professional/industry bodies (e.g. IBN, IAH, EI, IGI, or their equivalents) is an advantage. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field (Level 9 Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a similar role. Strong knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards. Proven track record in project management and team leadership both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Should be Chartered Environmental Consultant, Chartered Engineer, Professional Geologist or be close to achieving the same.
