Job Description Summary The Night Auditor (NA) is responsible for accurately balancing all hotel income and expenses for each 24-hour hotel operating period. The NA also acts as a Guest Service Agent during the overnight front desk shift. The NA's duties include delivering excellent guest service, acting as a hotel system liaison during night hours, and resolving system issues by contacting support teams such as Opera, SynXis, or other system providers. Job Responsibilities Deliver Sonesta Service standards in all guest and client interactions. Balance and audit revenue from rooms, food and beverage, and telephone services; prepare relevant daily revenue reports. Ensure accuracy of all tax charges, cashier reports, and guest accounts. Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports with supporting documentation. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the General Manager. Assist with setup of the breakfast service, including food, beverages, and supplies. Assist with hotel laundry operations. Serve as the security contact during the shift. Coordinate with the Operations Manager to resolve discrepancies and exchange information. Register guests, issue room keys, and provide hotel information and services, including the Travel Pass rewards program. Process all cash and credit transactions accurately, including posting charges and preparing deposits. Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications; upsell rooms to maximize revenue. Follow the reservation strategy regarding room types and pricing based on demand. Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other shifts and departments. Service the hotel shoppe and pour, ensuring compliance with alcohol laws. Fulfill guest special requests and ensure delivery of guest services. Manage guest safe-deposit boxes. Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service laws. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required. One year of hotel experience preferred, especially in extended stay. Proficiency in English; additional languages are beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic math skills; experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems is preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work extended periods. Must obtain ServSafe certification; TIPS certification may be required. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional Information Pay Range Expected hourly pay ranges from $18 to $20, depending on experience and skills.
