Lead an accounting team (5–7 people) handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger in compliance with Polish regulations. Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings to meet group reporting deadlines. Monitor key KPIs related to AP and AR process performance and implement corrective actions where needed. Work with external auditors during the annual financial audit to ensure compliance with Polish GAAP and Heilind’s accounting policy. Support the Head of Accounting CEE/SEE in the budgeting process and P&L variance analysis Review journal entries, reconciliations and accounting schedules prepared by the team. Actively participate in operational work, taking ownership of advanced and complex accounting matters (accruals, prepayments, inventory valuation, write-offs, revaluations). Take part in ongoing projects related to system changes and process improvements, cooperating with IT teams, system consultants and Heilind entities in Europe and the USA. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance efficiency. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Strong understanding of Polish GAAP; familiarity with US GAAP is a plus. Solid understanding of AP, AR, GL, inventory and VAT reporting in Poland. Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example and manage people as well as actively participate in daily work. Strong analytical skills Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Navision, or SAP. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment
