We are seeking a motivated individual who is detail-oriented and takes a collaborative team approach to problem solving. The Facility Biller & AR Specialist performs the day-to-day billing and follow-up activities concerning facility claims for multiple locations and specialties. The Facility Biller & AR Specialist will review coding, correct and submit front-end rejections from the clearinghouse, review rejections from third-party payers, and analyze and monitor aged accounts receivables by identifying areas of concern by age, category, payer, provider specialty, and facility to resolve claim issues and resubmit in a timely manner. Our ideal Facility Biller & AR Specialist will demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple tasks while exhibiting professionalism and superior communication skills at all times. Duties: Review coding and correct front-end rejections in a timely manner for resubmission. Assist with uploading daily 837 files and monitor unbilled accounts. Reprocess rejections and file appeals for claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement. Contact insurance companies regarding outstanding balances. Identify resubmission requirements, check eligibility, ensure authorization is on file, and verify claim status on payer websites to resolve account balances. Contact patients for updated insurance information when necessary. Monitor and follow-up on Aged Trial Balance Reports to identify issues causing cash delays. Resolve issues involving third-party payers. Communicate internal/external issues causing cash delays promptly. Answer patient calls and respond to questions promptly. Ensure patient account billing information and balances are up-to-date; make necessary adjustments and document activities for audit purposes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Eligibility to work in the U.S. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 3+ years of coding/billing follow-up experience in a large multi-specialty physician office or hospital setting preferred. Billing and coding experience in Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Anesthesia, or In-patient settings preferred. Certifications such as CPB, CPC, or CRCS preferred. Knowledge of eCare CMS is a plus. Knowledge of medical billing principles, federal and state regulations, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and billing procedures. Proficiency in Outlook, G-suite, Google Docs, Word, Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with positive attitude. Willingness to participate in professional development activities. Compassionate, respectful, and reliable in work results, attendance, and timeliness. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
