Financial Advisor

Licensed Financial Advisor
provides expertise on products and services to members and non-members regarding planning for retirement and investment services. Services include analyzing the current financial picture, assisting with establishing financial goals, and developing strategies to achieve those goals. Via Credit Union serves members across 12 counties, and the Advisor will travel to meet with members in these counties. Field of membership counties:
Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Hamilton, Howard, Huntington, Kosciusko, Madison, Miami, Tipton, Wabash, and Wells. Reasonable Accommodations Statement:

Connect with members and prospective clients via telephone and in person. Analyze data to develop tailored financial plans. Conduct annual reviews with clients. Develop and present educational seminars on topics of interest. Assist in marketing products and services. Familiarize with all products and cross-sell as opportunities arise. Document all sales, transactions, and conversations. Maintain current prospectus and sales literature. Compile monthly activity and sales reports, as well as quarterly and annual production reports. Maintain member files and oversee signature guarantee programs. Maintain the Investment Department website and ensure compliance with FINRA. Prepare for and support compliance audits. Complete ongoing education to maintain licenses. Develop annual budgets and projections. Promote Via CU’s commitment to excellent service. Collaborate with other departments and build strong relationships with members and staff. Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience:
At least 2 years in financial services sales, preferably in banking or credit unions. Knowledge of insurance and investment vehicles, and understanding of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Computer Skills:
Word, Excel, and general computer literacy. Certifications & Licenses:
FINRA Series 7, 63/65 (or 66), Life and Health Insurance licenses, and others as specified. Clean U-4 and background checks required. CFP designation preferred. Expectations:
