Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in fiberglass and gel coat application or a related field.
Basic understanding of marine vessel construction and repair techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in marine repair or related technical training.
Experience with advanced fiberglass techniques and materials.
Knowledge of marine safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Assess and diagnose fiberglass and gel coat damage on marine vessels.
Prepare surfaces for repair by sanding, cleaning, and applying necessary treatments.
Mix and apply fiberglass resins and gel coats to restore and enhance boat surfaces.
Ensure all repairs meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Skills The required skills for this position include a strong attention to detail, which is essential for assessing damage and ensuring high-quality repairs. Proficiency in mixing and applying fiberglass resins and gel coats is crucial, as it directly affects the durability and appearance of the finished product. The ability to work with various tools and equipment safely is necessary for maintaining a productive work environment.
