We’re looking for a skilled and motivated
IT Field Technician
to join our Field Services team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our company at client sites — providing hands‑on technical support, resolving desktop and network issues, performing low‑voltage cabling, and installing security camera systems. field-based role
that involves frequent travel to client sites throughout Houston and surrounding areas. You’ll work both indoors and outdoors year‑round, independently and as part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do
Technical Support (Level 1)
Diagnose and resolve onsite hardware, software, and network issues. Support desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral configurations. Assist with workstation setups, OS installations, and Microsoft 365 applications. Perform basic network troubleshooting, including switches, Wi‑Fi, and cabling verification. Low‑Voltage Cabling
Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling for network and camera systems. Ensure proper cable management, labeling, and documentation. Troubleshoot connectivity faults using appropriate test tools. Camera Installation & Configuration
Mount and position cameras, conceal cables, and connect to network/video systems. Configure settings, test live feeds, and integrate with monitoring platforms. Collaborate with vendors and project leads to meet deadlines. Customer Service & Documentation
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients onsite. Maintain accurate service documentation and configuration records. Follow safety procedures and uphold company quality standards. What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or technical certification preferred). 1–3 years of IT support experience (MSP experience a plus). Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage cabling and camera installations. Technical Skills
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, routers, Wi‑Fi). Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 environments. Experience with camera systems like Ubiquiti, Meraki, or Hikvision preferred. Comfortable using cable testers, hand tools, and mounting equipment. Additional Requirements
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders or lifts. Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Certifications
CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience a plus. Seniority level
