Description: Candidate Type: MD (Medical Doctor); DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Job Type: Locum Disciplines: WAC (Women & Children) Work Schedule: 3 During your time off, explore an interactive science and nature museum, hike picturesque trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and stroll through a downtown filled with local shops and live music venues. Opening Highlights
Schedule: 24-hour weekend call shifts Weekend Volume: 2-3 callbacks, 2 admissions OR Rooms: 1 in L&D, 4 in OR Procedures: C-section, vaginal delivery, circumcision, hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, surgery for missed AB, incomplete abortion, ovarian cystectomy, D&C, and some emergent gyn cases Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses Responsibilities
Provide OB/GYN services including delivery and gynecologic procedures as listed in opening highlights. Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology Active unencumbered OB/GYN Virginia state license Graduate from a fully accredited OB/GYN program One year of work experience as OB/GYN One year of EMR experience Board Certified Skills / Abilities / Competencies
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks. Requirements
