Are you experienced in installing, maintaining, and calibrating a wide range of industrial instruments and control systems? EXCEL Group is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate installation and functionality of instrumentation equipment crucial to our industrial processes.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair E/I devices and wiring on their own.
Must have experience in trouble shooting motors and motor control wiring.
This position requires both electrical and instrumentation.
Must be able to diagnose and repair electrical problems, including wiring, lighting, and equipment connections.
Must have a strong understanding of electrical systems, code, regulations, and best practices.
Must be able to adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Must be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
Must be able to utilize hand tools and test equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical education or certification in industrial instrumentation is preferred.
NCCER Certificate recommended.
This position requires both electrical and instrumentation.
Demonstrated experience as an Instrument Tech or in a similar role in industrial settings.
Profound understanding of industrial instrumentation, control systems, and process automation.
Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams.
Familiarity with a diverse range of industrial instruments, sensors, and control devices.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
Effective communication skills, enabling collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Physical capability to perform tasks that involve climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and protocols pertaining to industrial instrument installation.
