Salary Range: $66,951.00/yr – $85,138.00/yr
Description Information Technology Specialist 2 – Programming (NY HELPs) – 9843. Role at NYS Office of Information Technology Services.
Duties
Design, code, and implement multiple reporting projects under guidance of Info Tech Specialist 3.
Use IBM Cognos tools: Report Studio, Cognos Analytics, Cognos Transformer to develop standard reports, dashboards, and cubes.
Work with users to define business requirements and create/update Report Specs.
Demonstrate SQL knowledge.
Experience with UNIX/AIX a plus.
Meet Department Time & Attendance policies.
Overtime may be required on occasion to meet project deadlines, provide training and technical support, and attend technical conferences.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, or bachelor’s with one year IT experience, or 60 semester credit hours including 15 in CS and one year professional IT experience, or two years professional IT experience.
Open to NYS employees with one year permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 1 (SG 14).
Open to NYS employees with one year permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2 or 2 Programming (G 18) or G‑16 or above administrative titles.
Eligible for 55b/c designation.
