Position Summary
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist II is an upper-level position in the Neurodiagnostic department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist II performs routine and complex EEG procedures independently according to facility policy and procedures; provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures; maintains patient safety during clinically significant events, and other related duties. Communication skills and teamwork are essential for this position. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist II works under the clinical and technical supervision of the department leadership. Position Duties
Performs procedures appropriate to the competence and credentials of a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, including advanced procedures. Maintains continuing education and competencies in EEG and other credentialed modalities; acquires new competencies relative to industry standards in Neurodiagnostics for EEG and other credentialed modalities. Participates in education and orientation of junior technologists and EEG students. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested. Phoenix Children's Mission, Vision, & Values

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Graduation from an ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET) Commission accredited Neurodiagnostic (END) Program, or an Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university in healthcare/science, or training in EEG at an Accredited Health Care Facility or clinic.
Required Experience
Three years EEG experience in a patient care environment.
Required Pediatric experience.
Preferred Certifications / Licenses / Registries
Credentials in EEG, R.EEG T. from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET).
Required Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
Required Evoked Potentials (R. EP. T.) from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET), Nerve Conduction (R. NCV. T.) from the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET), Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET), Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM) from ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET).
Preferred Special Skills
Well-developed PC and Microsoft Windows knowledge.
