Responsibilities
Control, compile, and maintain Quality records related to drawings, specifications, fabrication records, Inspection and engineering documents. Understand controls on incoming and outgoing quality documents within the project; the Technician is an expert in receiving, filing, storing, and retrieving quality-related records and documents. Maintain quality & inspection records, distribute the quality records and procedures as needed, indexing, filing, storage, retrieval, and disposal. Maintain efficient workflow of vendor and client QA & QC and other quality records. Identify delays or issues that interfere in workflow processes and report to the Quality Manager. Organize reports/documents as they come in & review them for accuracy. Review all inspection reports/documents for accuracy and file into turnover dossiers per area. Utilize a Tracking Database for tracking all disciplines. Review and accept turnover dossiers: Civil/structural by area, piping by systems, and I&E per direction of Inspection Coordinator. Review and accept Hydro packages identified by project team and contractors. Maintain documents daily by inserting documents into turnover dossiers. Maintain code books, project specifications, and regulations, per contract. Maintain NDE and other inspection requests. Review NDE reports for accuracy and report errors. Follow up on the reports to ensure corrections have been made. Audit the dossiers & logs to identify errors & missing reports. Upload to QC Server. Manage client FTP site for required projects. Requirements
Must have experience in document or administrative management. One to three years related experience. Ability to work with little supervision, self-starter & motivated. Ability to understand isometric drawings (i.e., piping fitting, BOM, spec breaks). Well-organized, attention to detail & good communication skills. Ability to prioritize, demonstrate initiative, and handle the pressure of multiple project group document requirements with tact. Computer literate and competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and Outlook required. Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing & record keeping. Knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment. Solid communication skills, professional attitude, and ability to work well and in harmony with others. Strong organizational skills including alphabetization and numerical filing. Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills. Document Control / Turnover knowledge. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, sit, stand, and reach for extended periods of time.
