Job Description
Summary: The
Reconditioning Technician
will perform mechanical inspections and light repair work on a wide variety of used vehicles to prepare them for retail sale. This is a fast-paced, production-focused role ideal for well-rounded techs with general repair experience. Duties and Responsibilities Perform multi-point mechanical inspections on pre-owned vehicles Diagnose and complete light repairs including brakes, batteries, filters, fluids, bulbs, hoses, and belts Identify safety or drivability concerns and flag higher-level repairs for Service Advisors or Line Techs Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Work efficiently to meet reconditioning cycle time targets and vehicle readiness deadlines Safely move vehicles between service, recon, and front-line areas Collaborate with service managers, advisors, and parts staff to streamline recon flow Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace 1+ years of hands-on mechanical repair experience Proven ability to work on a wide range of makes and models Familiarity with basic diagnostics, inspections, and light repair workflows Comfortable working in a high-volume, team-oriented shop environment Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Must be authorized to work in the USA Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR screening Compensation: $20.00 -$27.00/ hour
