Base pay range

As a Practice Coordinator supporting our Disputes team in St. Louis, you will provide comprehensive administrative and practice support to attorneys, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires a proactive individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. This hybrid position requires a minimum of three days in the office each week. Flexibility, including occasional overtime, may be required based on team and client needs. Key Responsibilities Produce, format, and finalize legal and administrative documents including briefs, pleadings, memos, and correspondence. Proofread and review documents to ensure accuracy in grammar, content, and format. Coordinate attorney calendars—scheduling meetings, depositions, court dates, and calls, and reserving meeting space both in-office and externally. Manage e-filing of court documents in compliance with current rules and deadlines. Maintain well-organized client files, both hardcopy and electronically in systems such as iManage or FileSite. Handle new matter intake including conflict checks, engagement letters, and initial budget entries. Monitor billing and collections—assist in editing pre-bills, tracking unpaid invoices, and submitting appeals for billing discrepancies. Enter attorney time entries accurately and track matters for billing and reporting purposes. Serve as a liaison between attorneys and internal support teams including billing, document services, docketing, and administrative assistants. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and vendors as necessary. Keep internal contact lists and mailing lists updated; manage physical and electronic mailings as needed. Track deadlines for litigation matters and coordinate with attorneys and docketing staff to ensure timely compliance. Provide light paralegal support on certain assignments as directed. Offer occasional support to other practice areas or staff during high-volume periods or absences Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a legal or professional services environment, ideally supporting litigation. High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat is essential. Familiarity with legal calendaring tools (Milana or similar) is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail. Capable of managing multiple priorities and working efficiently under deadlines. Discreet and professional, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Self-motivated and dependable, with a collaborative attitude and willingness to support the broader team.
