Job Summary We are seeking an experienced
Construction Bookkeeper
with strong knowledge of
Sage 300
and hands‑on experience managing all aspects of construction accounting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing project accounting, and ensuring compliance with all financial and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile
General Ledger ,
Accounts Payable , and
Accounts Receivable
Handle
project accounting
including job cost reconciliations and cost tracking
Manage
monthly closings , posting of month‑end information, and preparation of accurate financial statements
Prepare and process
AIA billings ,
Notices to Owner (NTOs) , and
Release of Liens
Ensure
licensing and insurance compliance
with subcontractors and vendors
Perform
bank reconciliations
and assist with cash flow management
Support management with financial reporting and analysis as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in the
construction industry
Proficiency in
Sage 300 (Timberline)
required
Strong understanding of
AIA documentation , lien releases, and job cost accounting
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
