Analyzes SBA and other member business loan requests, compiles reports, and supports SBA Lending Services. Receives, reviews and processes SBA loan documents; maintains loan application files and supports processing and servicing of the SBA loan portfolio. Conducts loan risk analyses as assigned. Ensures that members, prospective members and employees are promptly and professionally served. Performs other support functions as assigned. Responsibilities
Interacts with customers, attorneys, title companies, lenders and their assistants to provide exceptional customer service. Reviews and approves all required documentation for loans (purchase agreements, corporate documents, lease agreements, landlord subordinations, construction documentation, vehicle titles, etc.). Requests revised loan presentations if needed. Updates PCFS. Submits loan to SBA/USDA for approval and prepares SBA Loan Authorization for SBA PLP loans. Pay the guaranty fee and engage the attorney as needed. Review closing documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Schedule and coordinate loan closings. Ensure loans are closed and funded according to the approved request, bank policy, and SBA/USDA guidelines. Coordinate with the SBA loan servicing department for funding and booking. Finalize loan file for post-close audit and follow up on outstanding items as needed. Update procedures related to job duties and be available to cross-train and perform additional tasks as assigned. Adhere to BSA Policy and all Bank Policies. Maintain professional relationships with members and Credit Union personnel; resolve member questions and issues promptly. Assist with loan servicing functions as assigned; process disbursement requests and maintain accurate records of SBA loan fees. Assist with updating and maintaining SBA loan files and collateral-related items; ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and security of the work area and confidential information. Coordinate activities with other departments and support training functions as needed. Attend meetings and participate in special projects as assigned. Prepare reports and records promptly and accurately; answer incoming calls and provide receptionist coverage as needed. Training/Education/Certification
Training/Education/Certification Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent Coursework in general office skills Required Knowledge
Knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures Knowledge of related computer applications (Laser Pro, InBranch, LoanPro, CSAir, Flex, Imaging, Word, Excel, and other web applications) Knowledge of SBA One and/or PCFS (creditwrx and loan manager) preferred Experience Required
3+ years of SBA loan processing/closing Working knowledge of SBA SOPs 3+ years of document preparation New Accounts or teller experience preferred One year general office experience, preferably in a financial environment Loan quality assurance or loan secretary experience helpful Skills/Abilities
Strong word processing skills Professional appearance and attitude Organized, accurate and detail-oriented Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening), public relations and telephone skills Proficient with PC and related applications, printers, phones and basic business equipment Self-driven, able to work independently and as part of a team Discretion and good judgment Senioritiy level
