The Investment Accountant (Associate level) will be involved in a wide range of investment accounting and operational activities across multiple asset classes - cash, domestic and global equities, fixed income, hedge funds, real estate, and private investments. Broad Responsibilities Include

Fund Accounting and Operations

- Act as a team lead to assist and mentor OAR team members in the preparation of workpapers and reports to support both internal and external clients’ needs including but not limited to:

Monthly accounting close processes Private Investment and Hedge Fund monthly valuation/pricing processes Monitoring private investment activity (calls and distributions) Monitoring and preparing public and hedge fund investment activity (calls and distributions) Consolidation processes Monthly, quarterly, and annual investment reports Bank and external fund manager reconciliations Audit work papers and other information Management and performance fee calculations Monitor and facilitate derivative trades and associated collateral

Investment Performance

- Act as a team lead in the performance of analytics and preparation of supporting workpapers and reports for internal and external client’s needs including but not limited to:

Investment manager returns Alpha and Value add versus manager benchmarks Attribution analysis reports

Individual Endowment Accounting

- Act as a team lead in the maintenance and support for subledger accounting systems and reporting for underlying unitholders in the various funds including but not limited to:

Monthly/Quarterly additions and redemptions Monthly/Quarterly distributions Client and donor reporting

Charitable Trust Tax Returns and Reports

- Team lead in the preparation of the tax forms and donor reporting as required Workpaper Review

- Perform initial review of Senior Analyst and Analyst prepared workpapers and reports Content Resource

- Take initiative to find solutions to issues as they arise; coach/mentor team members and provide oversight where applicable Build Relationships

- Actively engages with clients and customers to find solutions, resolve issues, strengthen relationships and build trust Derivative Trading Support and Reporting

- Work in conjunction with custodian and traders to facilitate trades, documentation and reporting Ad Hoc Project and Reporting Requests

- Team lead for projects and the preparation of special ad hoc reporting requests as assigned Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in accounting MBA or CPA Minimum 7 years’ experience in public accounting or other financial services accounting role Thorough understanding of endowment and accounting processes and workflows Competency with applications and technology tools used in team processes and workflows Highly responsible and takes ownership of their assignments and work product Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities Elevated attention to detail Strong verbal and written communications skills and presence to communicate effectively Collegial team player possessing intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and thoughtfulness Constructive, “can do” attitude committed to consistently doing what is in the best interest of the organization Unquestioned honesty, integrity, and transparency Cultural fit is a must in a respectful, collegial, and open working environment NOTE: This role requires in-office, 4 days a week, Monday thru Thursday.
