Collateral & Insurance Processor CLASSIFICATION:
Non-exempt
REPORTS TO:
Collateral & Insurance Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The Collateral & Insurance Processor's primary focus is the collateral securing loans in the Bank. The processor will work closely with lending staff and other necessary departments to ensure trailing loan documents and required insurance coverages are in place.
Responsibilities
Process documents received via email, USPS, workflow queue etc.
Maintain the document tracking system on Silverlake by verifying the accuracy and recordation of Deeds of Trusts, Final Title Opinions, Final Title Insurance Policies, hazard/flood insurance, auto/equipment insurance, titles and UCCs etc.
Completes Weekly insurance reporting reviews
Contact Insurance Companies/Borrowers to inquire on required insurance policies
Scan documents received into the electronic filing system Synergy
Maintain UCC continuation tracking and obtain continuations as needed
Release titles, deed of trust, UCCs and other documents required per loan payoff
Other Duties
Force-place insurance (hazard and flood) on an as-needed basis
Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities
Professional written and verbal communication skills required.
Professional telephone etiquette required.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must become highly proficient in knowing and understanding loan documentation.
Must become fluent with the document file system Synergy, outsourced third party insurance website, and Silverlake
Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment This job operates in an office setting; the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.
Physical Demands This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
Travel Limited local travel may be required for this position.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer experience including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Prior loan document experience preferred.
Prior experience with Property and Casualty Insurance preferred.
Prior experience with titles (vehicle, boat, motorcycle, mobile home, etc.) preferred.
