Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant, reporting to the General Accounting Manager, is responsible for performing accounting and analysis to ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policy. The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and maintaining the general ledger.

Duties And Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include supporting monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to analysis of customer related rebates; analysis and recording of monthly deferred compensation asset/liability, analysis of accounts receivable and account payable balances and aging, and all equity related transactions

Primary General Accounting contact for the Commercial Finance Directors, including ad-hoc sales reporting and analysis

Perform monthly and quarterly internal controls

Complete and review reconciliation of relevant accounts

Manage general accounting operations and maintain accounting records, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Primary liaison with external auditors to complete quarterly request

Participate in year-end audit and preparation of schedules and documentation

Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to other members in accounting

Verify, post, and reconcile transactions

Complete and/or assist with special projects

Conduct ad hoc reporting as specified

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or MBA/CPA

5+ years of experience in accounting

5+ years of experience using accounting principles and practices/US GAAP

Proficient in MS Office, including Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, Sumif)

Additional Qualifications

CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana a plus

Comprehensive technical accounting skills; strong Excel skills

Knowledge of SAP/ERP preferred

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Strong planning and organizing skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills

Ability to take initiative on all accounting functions relevant to position

Ability to manage highly confidential information

Ability to work cross-functionally and support various areas of the business

Ability to communicate across all audiences with varying degrees of accounting knowledge

Some travel may be required

Compensation and Benefits The expected base pay for this position is $95,000 - $142,600. We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan. Hired applicants will be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending and health savings account eligibility, employer-provided short term disability benefits, eligibility to purchase long term disability benefits, employer-provided basic life insurance and eligibility to purchase voluntary life coverages.

The pay range, incentives and benefits listed above are general guidelines only and not a guarantee of total compensation or benefits. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data. The incentive pay is dependent on your role, business results and individual performance. All aspects of total rewards offered are subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
