We are seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns and financial reports, analyzing accounting records, and providing strategic recommendations to minimize tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will stay current with federal, state, and local tax legislation and ensure full compliance in all filings. Key Responsibilities: Tax Preparation and Planning:

Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. Develop tax strategies to minimize client tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with Illinois and federal tax regulations. Financial Statement Preparation:

Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP. Bookkeeping and Accounting Services:

Oversee client bookkeeping, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and payroll processing. Client Consulting:

Provide financial and business advisory services, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, to support client growth and financial health. Audit and Assurance:

Conduct internal reviews and assist with external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for operational improvement. Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, addressing client inquiries, and providing proactive financial guidance. Compliance:

Stay updated on Illinois and federal tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure all services meet current requirements. Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality services, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the firm’s growth and reputation. Qualifications: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and tax preparation software (e.g., CCH, Drake, or Lacerte). Strong knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Illinois state tax laws. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Superior attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
