Job Description
A Brief Overview Participates in the daily review of compensation inquiries and requests. Recommends, develops, and implements employee compensation changes. Configures job codes, job families, and job functions. Evaluates new job titles and conducts ongoing job analyses and evaluations. Participates in salary surveys and analyzes survey results. Supports the annual compensation benchmarking and planning cycles by compiling data, preparing reports, system configuration, responding to leadership inquiries, training, and troubleshooting as needed. Participates in special projects such as updates to Job Description Management software, Market Pricing and Salary Survey software, and the Compensation Administration system. Supports enhancements to current compensation processes and evaluates new compensation programs. Collaborates with the Human Resources team to ensure that base pay and incentive programs are competitive in the market. Responsibilities Performs data analytics, modeling, reporting, and auditing of job and employee information. Reviews and prepares job descriptions reflecting responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements. Assesses requests for new or revised job descriptions for appropriate market benchmarking. Recommends developments for company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and career paths. Prepares and reviews budgets, expenses, and accruals related to compensation programs. Conducts special studies and provides recommendations on pay, incentives, and compensation plans. Develops, implements, and administers compensation policies, programs, and systems. Participates in compensation surveys to analyze competitive salary data. Reviews salary adjustments for compliance with guidelines and policies. Recommends actions to improve internal equity and market competitiveness. Reviews statutory requirements related to compensation and suggests courses of action. Configures, tests, and implements compensation administration systems. Researches legislation impacting compensation and benefits. Ensures data integrity through audits of job and employee information. Analyzes current pay practices against company pay strategy. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Required) Master's Degree (MBA in HR Management) preferred 4-6 years of experience in broad-based pay administration including incentives (Required) 1-3 years of progressive HR experience, including mentoring (Preferred) Strong knowledge of compensation principles and procedures Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced skills like VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and PowerPoint Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity Knowledge of legal standards such as ERISA, FLSA, and Equal Pay laws Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred Compensation We offer a competitive and equitable salary, typically between $85,000 - $95,000, exclusive of benefits and bonuses. Salaries are determined based on experience, skills, education, and other factors. The range is a general guideline; top-tier candidates may be offered at the upper end of the range.
