About the Position
As the Grants Manager, you will implement and monitor the grants management process for the Foundation, including donor advised funds, community impact grants, and any other funds. You will ensure compliance with Foundation and IRS policies and provide exemplary customer service to donors, nonprofits, and Foundation staff, helping them achieve positive community impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement and ensure an effective grants management process, monitoring, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
Maintain and recommend modifications to the grants management software system.
Ensure compliance with Foundation policies, IRS, legal and audit regulations, and best practices related to grant management.
Work closely with the Community Impact Team and customize grant application processes to meet the intended outcomes of all grant programs.
Accurately capture evaluation data on grant reports to show progress toward stated goals.
Provide exceptional service to employees, donors and nonprofit partners.
Assist the Community Impact team in developing forecasts.
Establish and monitor all grant schedules.
Provide technical assistance on the application and reporting process to grant applicants/recipients.
Track timely and consistent grantee reporting.
Serve as a member of the core process team, ensuring efficient processes in support of our strategy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skilled in project management, particularly with complex improvement projects that require organization and attention to detail.
Self-reliant, results-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, collaborate and develop consensus with staff and colleagues.
Detail-oriented.
Thorough understanding of all current and emerging regulations governing grantmaking, including distributions from DAFs and other funds.
Innovative thinker with a record of accomplishment in problem-solving and developing action plans, and creating impact.
Ability to use data and information in grant reports to measure progress toward goals.
Understand current and emerging trends in philanthropy and grants management.
Education, Experience, and Certificates
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or 3+ years of relevant experience in project management, grants management or related field required.
