Full Charge Bookkeeper Freedman CPA, P.C. is a boutique certified public accounting firm founded in 1991 with offices in New York City, NY and Plantation, FL serving a sophisticated roster of clients. Services include traditional accounting, auditing, tax planning, estate and consulting.

We are looking for a diligent Bookkeeper to join our firm and manage our clients’ day‑to‑day financial tasks. You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank account management and reconciliation. Successful candidates have previous bookkeeper experience and proficiency with QuickBooks.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401(k) and bank accounts each month.

Monitor financial transactions and reports.

Process accounts receivable and payable.

Process checks.

Understand ledgers.

Work with an accountant when necessary.

Handle monthly payroll using accounting software.

Bookkeeper Requirements

Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.

Knowledge of bookkeeping software.

At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business‑services environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Attention to detail and accuracy of work.

Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.

Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
