Glenwood, Inc., a progressive multi-site agency provides a full range of services for children and adults with autism and other mental health needs is seeking an Accountant. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to make a difference in the quality of life of the people we serve and their families. This position reports to the Director of Finance. Essential Functions
Oversee timely and accurate Medicaid Waiver billing and reconciliation to support vital client services. Ensure financial integrity through precise coding, reporting, and reconciliation of deposits and accounts. Partner with program and development teams to maintain accurate records and transparent reporting. Prepare financial reports, assist with audits, and contribute to grant and contract compliance. Manage billing and revenue processes to optimize cash flow and support organizational growth. Administer food and nutrition program claims and allocations in accordance with federal guidelines. Support patient accounts, monthly reporting, and account reviews with attention to detail and accuracy. Contribute to special projects and cross-departmental initiatives that strengthen financial operations. Provide dependable backup support across accounting functions, fostering a collaborative team environment. Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software. Ability to effectively communicate with staff, and individuals. Licensure & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required. At least three years of related experience required. Glenwood is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
