Their history spans over 200 years and today they are a leader in investment banking, consumer and small business banking, commercial banking, financial transaction processing, and asset management. DESCRIPTION Tax Operations - Global Shares Team RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure consistency in information reporting practices within accounting systems. Prepare and maintain procedure documentation. Mapping process flow for transaction information and recipient information for CIB clients. Prepare communication on status of tax document preparation, progress, accuracy, and correction, and present to Management. Maintain metrics on account filings and corrections. Research, communicate, and resolve questions for key stakeholder(s). Perform preliminary checks on tax reporting information, before Tax Season and Print Day validations. Assist in overall needs of the team and provide support in areas of specialty as well as during peak periods. QUALIFICATIONS 3-6 years of US Tax experience (FATCA, 871M, withholding) Financial Services/Banking experience (Custody product knowledge a PLUS) Strong Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for Data Reconciliation College degree or relevant work experience Ability to perform tax reconciliations Project Management/Analytic experience Demonstrated Communication skills with Senior Management Ability to adhere to procedures, controls, and deadlines. Reporting Specifics: AEOI - FATCA and CRS reporting for an entity regarded as a custodial financial institution 1042S reporting T5/T5008 reporting (Canada) W form validation, US Indicia and the subsequent application of back up withholding 1099 B and 1099 Div reporting as well as 1099 copy to IRS filing Nice-to-Have Alteryx, Visual Basic, or other technical skills a PLUS Familiarity with internal custody systems a PLUS
