We have partnered with a growing

company to identify an experienced and detail-oriented
Controller
to join their team and oversee the financial operations of the organization. This individual will play a key role in producing accurate financial statements, managing job costing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support project managers and leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong construction industry experience, a deep understanding of QuickBooks Online, and a proven ability to partner with operations teams on budgets and cost control. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage
job costing , ensuring all project-related costs are accurately tracked and allocated. Partner with project managers to review budgets, forecasts, and project performance. Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of pay applications. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes as needed. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting best practices. Generate timely and accurate financial reports to support decision-making. Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Serve as the primary administrator of
QuickBooks Online , ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred but not required). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction industry experience strongly preferred. Proficiency with
QuickBooks Online
required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting practices (job costing, WIP, pay applications). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with both finance and project management teams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
