Controller - CQuence Health
Successful candidates must reside in Omaha, NE or surrounding areas.
The Controller safeguards CQuence’s financial health by ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound fiscal management.
This role is responsible for accounting operations, financial systems, and compliance activities, and directly supports strategic decision‑making and operational effectiveness.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Independently manage the day‑to‑day functions of the Accounting department.
Ensure timely preparation, accuracy, and integrity of all financial reports.
Provide department‑level budget‑to‑actual variance analysis.
Oversee cash management, including liquidity monitoring, investments, and loan reporting (weekly).
Monitor accounts receivable and prepare monthly AR aging summaries with explanations for past‑due items.
Diagnose and interpret ERP data related to parts/inventory transactions.
Manage all core accounting processes: bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, monthly close, accrual analysis, journal review, accounts receivable review, expense reporting, fixed asset accounting, inventory tracking, tax compliance, and insurance audits.
Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures aligned with GAAP and company risk.
Conduct periodic risk assessments; recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate internal and external audits, maintaining documentation and file organization to ensure audit readiness.
Maintain and troubleshoot the financial systems and data processing environments.
Recommend and implement system enhancements or process automations to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce costs, including invoice processing and expense tracking.
Conduct financial analyses for pricing, new product initiatives, and business policy reviews.
Evaluate financing transactions, equipment deals, and related business cases.
Collaborate cross‑functionally (e.g., with HR or Operations) on ad‑hoc business needs and financial projects.
Professional Conduct & Company Policies
Maintain ethical and objective business relationships that prioritize the best interests of CQuence and its customers.
Provide required compliance documentation to hospital clients as requested (e.g., immunization records, drug screening, background checks, training records).
Contribute to a collaborative, solution‑oriented environment and support company‑wide quality service delivery.
Maintain complete confidentiality regarding all aspects of company business within the accounting department.
Remain drug free and abide by the Drug Free Workplace policy.

What We’re Looking For In a Candidate
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of public and/or private accounting experience.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with personnel across the organization.
Ability to work independently while also contributing to team success.
