Overview Specialty Ingredients Controller – Decatur or Chicago, IL

Controllers at ADM have deep technical knowledge to support the company's operations and Controlling function. They are responsible for managing a team of highly technical and skilled colleagues, developing and maintaining good working relationships with business partners, and delivering technical and project-related support across the organization. Controllers stay up-to-date on new regulations and standards that impact ADM, create and implement changes to comply with such regulations/standards, and are expected to be experts in their field to provide excellent customer service to the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for continuous improvement in financial accounting, standardizing and simplifying processes, internal controls, and internal financial reporting, working closely with COE Controllers, Technical Accounting, Governance, Tax, BU Controllers and other key stakeholders

Ensure global alignment of the service catalogue

Provide excellent customer service to key stakeholders, ensuring proper execution of the service catalogue

Collaborate with other leaders to identify and implement best practices across COE

Maintain a strong internal and operational control environment in compliance with company policies

Review and analyze consolidated financial results to ensure material accuracy per US GAAP guidelines

Support annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements) and process flows; work to improve effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls

Analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedules and communicate results to stakeholders

Facilitate global consolidation of financial results, disclosures requirements, SOX controls, and other reporting for customers as requested

Support COE projects as approved through demand management to ensure standardization and simplification of processes

Drive continuous improvement through collaboration, innovative ideas, and proactive behavior

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

8+ years of accounting experience

Prior supervisory experience

Proficient in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft Office Suite

Prior experience in managing multiple projects and strong data analytics

Familiarity with financial planning, forecasting and analysis processes

Visualization and communication skills to a wide range of audiences, both technical and non-technical

Experience with Power BI and large ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP) is a plus

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or department performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$121,900.00 - $200,100.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
