Sallie Mae What You’ll Contribute and Do in this role include helping to implement strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraudulent activities across the organization. What You’ll Do
Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of transactions, accounts, and customer activities to identify potential instances of fraud. Utilize fraud detection tools and technologies to monitor and identify suspicious patterns, anomalies, and irregularities. Investigate suspected fraudulent activities, gather evidence, and document findings in a clear and concise manner. Participate in fraud awareness training programs for employees to educate them on fraud prevention measures and promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance. Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive reports on fraud incidents, trends, and prevention measures. In a call center environment, handle both incoming and outgoing fraud-related calls. What You Have
Minimum education, skills and experience required. Solid understanding of fraud detection techniques, patterns, and best practices. Proficient in using fraud detection tools, software, and technologies. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to exercise sound judgment when investigating and documenting fraud incidents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly present findings and recommendations. Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to fraud prevention. Preferred Education, Skills, And Experience
High school diploma required. 3+ years of experience in fraud prevention, detection, or investigation, preferably in a similar role. The Americans With Disabilities Act
